Main Deities of Samsthan Gokarna Math are charaprathishta (literally, a moving installation) idols of Lord Shri Veera Vitthala and Lord Shri Rama.
The Lord Shree Rama moorthi was presented to Shree Narayan Teerth on his diksha by Shree Ramchandra Teerth of Shree Palimaru Math.
The Lord Shree Veera Vitthala idol was discovered by parampujya H.H. Shrimad Jeevottam Teerth Shripad Vader Swamiji while performing Gandaki yatra 500 years back. Sri Swamiji found three panchadhatu idols of Vitthal. He named them as Digvijay Vitthal, Bhoo- Vijay Vitthal and Veer- Vitthal.
At Gokarn, he had a sub-Math constructed and of the three idols found in the river Sheela, had the idol of Bhoo- Vijay Vitthal ritually installed there. Then, he had another sub-Math constructed at Basroor and the idol of Dig- Vijay Vitthal was ritually installed there. Adopting the idol of Veer Vitthal as the deity of his personal worship, he ceremoniously placed it among the pantheon at the main Math and continued to worship it daily. Ever since, the tradition of the Peethadhish Swamiji personally worshipping the Veer Vitthal idol has continued unhindered till date.
