On Date  :  10th April, 2022

Time  :  8am To 9pm

Shree Ram Mandir has many religious festivals round the year, Shree Ram Navami Mahotsav is the most prominent among them.

Shri Ram Navami festival is celebrated for 9 days. It starts from the day of Gudi Padva (also known as Ugadi in Karnataka) the first day of Hindu new year and concludes on Ram Navami Day. On Ugadi day Pachanga Shravan is done by the priest where they predict the likely occurrences of events in the coming year.

During these 9 days, round the clock, without any break, there will be a chanting of the tarak mantra “Shri Ram Jaya Ram Jaya Jaya Ram”, by devotees. This chanting ends on the next day of Rama Navami with okkul celebrations where God is taken out in a pallaki.

On Ram Navami a cradling ceremony is performed for the infant Lord Ram when his idol is kept in a cradle and this will be rocked by the ladies who assemble for the occasion in the presence of hundreds. Usually, around 5,000-6,000 people visit the mandir at these times to rock the holy cradle of Lord Shree Ram and then partake in the “Bhojan-Prasad”.
